Come, Let us Reason Together……. What is God’s Plan for Your Life?

November 5, 2016

As we go through life we have our ups and downs. We strive to have the best possible life but relationships and circumstances are not within our control. We are left frustrated and disappointed. As we get older we begin to wonder what else life could hold for us – we simply put ourselves out to pasture, live out the rest of our days hoping for peace at least.

But there is GOOD NEWS! God has great plans for your life, no matter your age or circumstances.

The bible says that the Lord has satisfied us with long life (Psalm 91). Do you feel you have lived long enough? Are you satisfied with your life so far? If not, it is not over yet! You still have a wonderful, fulfilling life ahead of you. “Rubbish!” you say. “How can that be?”

Everyone has a destiny in Christ Jesus. The Lord says, “I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

God has plans for your life, and they are good. He wants to prosper you, and not harm you. He wants to restore the years the locusts have eaten. He wants to give you a life of peace and joy.

Jesus said the devil comes to steal, to kill and to destroy; but “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)

Can you see that Jesus is the answer to our problems, not the cause? Jesus means salvation. Salvation includes deliverance and protection from evil, health and prosperity, help and victory in times of trouble. This is who Jesus, the Son of God, is. This is what He died to give you. But we have to know how to receive it.

The Lord says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6)

To receive the abundant life Jesus has for us, we simply need to believe in Him and believe in what He has made available to us.

Today is the day of salvation! Walk in God’s plan for you and you will be satisfied with long life.
